Mike Lucas    Mike discussed need to reschedule April 2, 2015 Red Rocks Community College concert dues to certain members being unable to attend. Looking at new dates and facility availability. Mike will also contact contract trumpet players to reschedule if needed.

Mike also presented a request to authorize payment of $500 to obtain the sheet music library of John Williams (deceased) from John’s wife.

Motion to approve payment of $500 for the sheet music library, made, seconded and passed 3/0.

Discussion of budget and SCFD filing requirements.

Discussion of increased insurance costs associated with using Denver North for rehearsals.

Discussion of musicians who, due to work issues, are unable to play each week and whether their dues might be pro-rated to be ¼ of monthly dues payable each week attended.

                       

Motion to approve pro-rating monthly dues to be ¼ of monthly dues payable each week for those musicians who are unable to attend each week due to work obligations made, seconded and passed 3/0.

(The latter motion was amended in the 5/7/2015 Board meeting to be considered on a case by case basis.)  

Discussion of review of results of surveys sent out to members. Cooke volunteered to review them.

The Board should ask our members to identify up to a dozen festival performance opportunities and make a plan to contact the festival before the end of April.

Discussed recruiting new members.

Scholarship applications will be presented at next meeting for consideration
