CALL TO ORDER:         Vern Vail called the meeting to order at 8:45PM.

 

ATTENDEES:

Board Members: Vern Vail, Roger Oram, Nicole Martino, Jessica Mess, Brian Smith                    

Music Directors: Mike Lucas, Rick Mongrain                  

Operation Manager: Bruce Thron-Weber

 

READING AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Minutes from the 2/1/2018 meeting were approved as amended.

MUSIC DIRECTORS’ REPORTS

  • Mike said that April Jazz and Concert bands are sounding good for April dress rehearsal video and subsequent concert.
  • Rick said that Adrian videoed the Combonians that evening, March 1, 2018 at NHS and that it seemed to have went well.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT

 

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Roger, no report.

SECRETARY’S REPORT

Bobby, absent.

TREASURER’S REPORT

Tracy, absent.

OPERATION MANAGER’S REPORT

  • Bruce mentioned diversity survey still might be in the works for SCFD
  • Bruce thanked Board for meeting at Panera on Saturday, February 10 for budget discussion for SCFD grant proposal.

SCHOLARSHIP COORDINATOR’S REPORT

none

OLD BUSINESS

  • New name for Intermediate Band was discussed again, Motion was approved to change to FUNdamentals.
  • Vern reported that recording contract with Adrian was complete
  • That our trumpet soloist Doug Bushnell would need to be paid at the Spring concert
  • Still need Stage Manager

NEW BUSINESS-

Funding Ideas:

  • King Soopers reloadable cards
  • Fundraiser – Brian says he will check with someone he knows
  • Donations at Concerts
  • Nominal Concert Admission
